There are many factors a designer needs to think about when deciding the correct specification for glazed partitions on a project. Here’s a shortlist of some of the key points to consider:
- Sound rating required – single or double glazed
- Fire rating required – non rated or fire rated from 30 minutes to 120 minutes, integrity only or integrity and insulation
- Door type – timber, glazed – single or double glazed, framed or frameless glazed
- Junction details – to include junction with floor, ceiling, mullions and other partition types
- Site conditions – maximum glass module size 1500mm in width or 3600mm in height but does site access allow this.
